A Regency Ball in Wentworth Falls

Sydney Regency Weekends presents A Regency Ball in Wentworth Falls; a costumed Regency Ball to be held in the heart of the Blue Mountains at the historic Wentworth Falls School of Arts.

Saturday 7th September 7pm-11pm

Doors open 6:30pm

The Grand March commences at 7:00pm with supper provided later in the evening

DRESS CODE

Evening attire suitable for the Regency era (1790s-1820s)

TICKETS

$50 per person (children under 12 free) pre-purchased online

$55 purchased at the door (if available)

DANCING

The program will suit beginners to experienced dancers and will be called & briefly walked through on the night by David Potter & friends.

If you are a novice we recommend attending some Saturday workshops held by Sydney English Country Dancers in either North Sydney (2nd Saturday of the month) or Concord (4th Saturday of the month). Please email us for more details. Or alternately Blue Mountains Heritage Dance Group Inc sessions that include Bush, English Country & Contra dancing at Lawson Mechanics Hall on Wednesday evenings 7pm-9.30pm during school terms.

LIVE MUSIC

Live music will be provided during the ball by the Short Dented Potts who bring with them a wealth of experience & enthusiasm to the night’s music.

A Regency Affair at Exeter Village

May 17th, 18th & 19th 2024  

Sydney Regency Weekends are proud to presents the third annual A Regency Affair at Exeter Village; a costumed Regency weekend held in the heart of the Southern Highlands at the historic Exeter Village Hall. All the delights of a weekend in the country, with dance classes, a ball on the Saturday night, and with indoor and outdoor workshops and activities for all.

INCLUDED IN YOUR TICKET:

  • Lunches, morning and afternoon teas, an opening dinner on Friday night and pre-ball dinner on Saturday will be provided, with as much care for special diets as possible;
  • Dance workshops for all experience levels & a Regency Ball on Saturday night;
  • A very special visit to nearby private National Trust property with a magnificent garden for our Sunday picnic;
  • Guest speakers on a range of topics to interest all attendees.

ADDITIONAL COST:

  • Materials for any craft workshops you may choose to enrol in (to be announced closer to the event);
  • a small partial fee towards the outdoor activities you may wish to enrol in.
